Business Excellence Awards 2025 Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce
Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce, honoring the business activity and dynamism of our country this year, is organizing the "Business Excellence Awards".
Invitation
With the aim of strengthening and promoting professionals, as well as supporting their efforts for development and innovation, the Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCC) extends an open invitation to its members to participate in the competition for the Excellence and Entrepreneurship Awards.
Purpose
The purpose of the Awards is to reward small and medium-sized enterprises, members of the Professional Chamber of Thessaloniki, highlighting examples of entrepreneurship that are worth promoting. The organization aims to distinguish businesses that stand out in the professional arena and, at the same time, to disseminate —especially to young people— the importance and value of entrepreneurship as a lever for development and personal creation
In total, 15 Business Excellence Awards will be awarded to member businesses of the Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, divided into three business categories:
A) Entrepreneurship Awards
One (1) award in the following categories:
A) Self-employed
B) Small businesses (with up to 5 employees)
C) Medium-Large businesses (with 6 employees and above).
Awarded to businesses whose majority ownership (at least 51%) is owned by women. The aim of the award is to highlight the female entrepreneur and her multifaceted role, which combines professional, family and social obligations.
From one (1) award in the categories:
A) Self-employed
B) Small businesses (with staff up to 5 people)
C) Medium-Large businesses (with staff from 6 people and above).
This specific award is awarded to businesses that demonstrate pioneering action, utilize modern technologies, or develop new services and products that meet modern market needs. This category This award honors entrepreneurship based on inspiration, creation and innovative thinking. Innovation is defined as any applied idea or method that differs from the existing standard, contributes to the improvement of processes, products or services and creates added value to the business and the local community.
From one (1) award in the categories:
A) Self-employed
B) Small businesses (with staff up to 5 people)
C) Medium-Large businesses (with staff from 6 people and above).
Awarded to businesses whose majority ownership percentage (at least 51%) belongs to young people up to 40 years of age, i.e. born on January 1, 1985 or later. The EE. seeks to highlight models of active, dynamic and creative young people who choose the business arena, in contrast to established mentalities.
One (1) award in the following categories:
A) Self-employed
B) Small businesses (with staff up to 5 people)
C) Medium-Large businesses (with staff from 6 people and above).
This award is given to member businesses of the Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry that have proven to integrate social and corporate responsibility into their operations, undertaking actions and initiatives with a social, cultural or environmental impact. The Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry seeks to highlight business examples that go beyond their narrow economic role and return value to society, promoting collective well-being and solidarity.
B) Team Entrepreneurship Awards
The following will be awarded:
Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.
This specific category does not concern businesses but Professional Associations that belong to the power of the Hellenic Confederation of Trade Unions. The purpose of the award is to promote and reward the collective work and union action of the associations, which constitute cells of democracy and professional representation and to create competition.
C) Special Commendations for Chamber members

A) Self-employed

C) Medium-Large businesses (with staff from 6 people and above).
The Resilience and Sustainability Award will be awarded to member businesses of the Professional Chamber of Thessaloniki, which have been continuously active for at least twenty (20) consecutive years, i.e. since 2005 and earlier, having managed to maintain a dynamic presence and significant contribution to the local market and society, despite the challenges and successive crises that have affected the business environment. The businesses that will be awarded will have been in operation for many years, maintaining the same VAT number throughout their operation, but additional qualitative and quantitative data will be taken into account that demonstrate their sustainability, resilience and ongoing contribution, including the number of employees, or increase in the number of employees, turnover, stability or positive change in turnover, the adaptability of the business to current market conditions, the long-term participation in social, cultural or environmental initiatives, the active presence in professional associations, networks or actions of the Chamber and the local community, as well as the maintenance of a positive image and recognition in the local and professional community.
